Experience the utmost in hospitality at our authentic Japanese-style inn.
"Whether enjoying the facilities or the cuisine, our guests should be
impressed by our authenticity."
This was how Toyohiko Yoshida, our former president, felt when he
built Umebachi-Tei in 1982 as an annex to the Hotel Hyakumangoku.
The building was completed a year and a half after the plan was drawn up,
and the following year we had the great honor of welcoming Emperor Hirohito,
who stayed here overnight in order to attend the National Tree-planting Festival.
And then, as time went by, various celebrities became fond of our inn and
started coming here on a regular basis. Indeed, our history is one of
heartwarming memories created with our guests.
Still now, a quarter of a century later, we welcome our guests with the
same hospitality as ever \ the essence of which is the desire to please.
